ABOUT US

The Anne Arundel County Parent Coalition was established by several concerned parents within the county. We work collaboratively with area parents and AACPS to achieve improved transparency, accountability and communication within the school system. AACPC is a resource for all AACPS parents, especially those who may not be familiar with the intricacies of AACPS policies. The focus is to pursue the implementation and funding of pro-active initiatives to improve the school environment for students and staff. This includes working with legislators to enact laws requiring oversight of the board or education and the superintendent, seeking consistent standardized enforcement of the code of conduct, promoting improved utilization of mental health resources and providing input to the school system regarding future endeavors to address bullying and cyber bullying.
